Apple TV+ has set a November 12th premiere date for the second season of its Emmy-nominated “Palm Royale” comedy TV series. The series follows Maxine Dellacorte (Kristen Wiig) who, in the new season, left a social pariah after a scandalous public breakdown.

She’ll have to draw on her deep well of cleverness and cunning to prove that not only does she belong, but she might have what it takes to rule this town. The Dink
Apple Original Films has acquired the Josh Greenbaum-directed and Ben Stiller-produced pickleball sports comedy “The Dink”. Mary Steenburgen, Ed Harris, Chloe Fineman, Aaron Chen, Patton Oswalt, Chris Parnell, Christine Taylor, Stiller, Andy Roddick and John McEnroe co-star.

Jake Johnson leads the film as a washed-up tennis pro who, desperate to save a struggling club and earn his father’s respect, is compelled to break a sacred vow and do the unthinkable: play pickleball. [Source: Variety]

Street Fighter
Comedian Eric André has reportedly become the latest to join the ensemble cast of the new “Street Fighter” film adaptation – here he’ll play ring announcer Don Sauvage. In addition, it’s being reported that the film will hail from Sony to Paramount as part of the latter’s new deal with Legendary. [Source: NPN & Puck]

Helldivers 2 x Halo ODST
The official trailer has been released for the collaboration between Microsoft Xbox’s “Halo ODST” and Sony PlayStation’s “Helldivers 2”, which arrives on August 26th.

A Halo ODST Warbond will be available in “Helldivers 2” on that date, the same day the game launches on the Xbox platform – around 18 months after the title first launched for PS5 & PC in February 2024 to critical and commercial success.

Mussolini: Son of the Century
MUBI has released the trailer for Joe Wright’s new eight-episode series “Mussolini: Son of the Century” which premieres on September 10th. New episodes air every Wednesday.

The series paints a portrait of Benito Mussolini’s ruthless rise—from socialist journalist to Italy’s fascist dictator. Luca Marinelli leads this adaptation of Antonio Scurati’s prize-winning novel which blends bold visuals with a hypermodern style.
