F.A.S.T.
Juliana Canfield (“Succession”) has landed the female lead opposite Brandon Sklenar in the Taylor Sheridan-penned action thriller “F.A.S.T.” at Warner Bros. Pictures. Sheridan, Jenny Wood, David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford will produce the film which has already set an April 23rd 2027 release date.
The project marks the feature directorial debut of veteran DP Ben Richardso and follows a former special forces commando who is tapped by the DEA to lead a black op strike team against CIA-protected drug dealers. [Source: Deadline]
Damage
“Materialists” and “Past Lives” filmmaker Celine Song is reportedly developing an HBO drama series titled “Damage” which is set in the world of e-sports. Song will write and executive produce alongside regular collaborator David Hinojosa along with “The Last of Us” and “Chernobyl” creator Craig Mazin. [Source: The Insneider]
Her Private Hell
Dougray Scott, Diego Calva, Aoi Yamada, Hidetoshi Nishijima, and Shioli Kutsuna will star in “Drive” director Nicolas Winding Refn’s “Her Private Hell,” his first feature film in a decade. They join Sophie Thatcher, Charles Melton, Kristine Froseth, and Havana Rose Liu who have already been cast in the film which is shooting right now. The recent Summer Game Fest saw an 89% year-over-year growth in live peak viewership, according to analysts StreamsCharts. The Geoff Keighley-hosted video game showcase aired June 6th live across YouTube, Twitch and X. It reached more than 50 million livestreams – a record high in viewership for the event which is now in its sixth year. [Source: Variety]
Brick
Netflix has shared the official trailer for the mystery thriller “Brick” led by “Army of Thieves” stars Matthias Schweighöfer and Ruby O. Fee who play a couple on the verge of separating. That is put on hold after they discover that a mysterious and futuristic brick wall has suddenly appeared overnight in front of their door and windows.
They soon realized that every tenant in their apartment building is now trapped by the impenetrable wall. German filmmaker Philip Koch directs the film which starts streaming on July 10th 2025.
