Ilya Naishuller, the Russian filmmaker who helmed the well-received Bob Odenkirk-led action vehicle “Nobody,” has been set to helm “Heads of State” for Amazon Studios.
Former “The Suicide Squad” co-stars Idris Elba and John Cena lead the cast of the project and though story details are under wraps, it has been described as “Air Force One meets Midnight Run”.
Josh Applebaum & Andre Nemec penned the script from an initial draft by Harrison Query. The newly appointed co-head of DC Studios, Peter Safran, will produce alongside John Rickard.
