ABC’s breakout comedy “Abbott Elementary” has been promoted to a prime spot on the network’s schedule for its second season run – anchoring a Wednesday comedy block.
The network announced its lineup to start the 2022-23 season with the Niecy Nash-led “The Rookie” spin-off and the Hilary Swank-led “Alaska” the only new shows on the schedule along with “Celebrity Jeopardy”.
As “Dancing with the Stars” is moving to the Disney+ service, ABC is doubling down on “Bachelor in Paradise” with shows on Monday and Tuesday nights.
Not on the Fall schedule, but returning mid-season are dramas “The Wonder Years” and “A Million Little Things,” unscripted series like “The Bachelor” and “American Idol,” and the new Gina Rodriguez-led comedy “Not Dead Yet”.
The David E. Kelley and Michael Connelly untitled series in development is reportedly still in the mix. Here’s the full line-up:
