Hot on the heels of its cancelling of seven of its shows, The CW has handed out series orders for three new shows for its line-up – two of which serve as prequel spin-offs of two of their biggest hits.

First up they’ve handed out an order for “Gotham Knights” which follows an unlikely group of superheroes formed by the offspring of Batman’s greatest enemies who’ve been framed for the murder of Bruce Wayne.

Oscar Morgan stars as Bruce’s adopted son who leads the assembled team. Fallon Smythe, Tyler DiChiara, Olivia Rose Keegan, Navia Robinson, Anna Lore, and Rahart Adams also star while “Supernatural” alum Misha Collins has been cast as Harvey Dent.

Speaking of “Supernatural,” the prequel series “The Winchesters” has landed a series order with Jensen Ackles serving as executive producer and narrator.

That series follows how Sam and Dean’s parents Mary and John (Meg Donnelly, Drake Rodger) met and fell in love. Demetria McKinney, Nida Khurshi, Jojo Fleites, and Biance Kajlich also star.

Former “Supernatural” alum Jared Padalecki and his hit new series “Walker” are also getting a prequel with “Walker: Independence” ordered to series. Set in the 1800s, the series will follow Katherine McNamara as Abby Walker – an ancestor of Padalecki’s character.

In the series, she’s a rich woman from Boston who witnesses the murder of her husband. She teams with the rogue Hoyt Rawlins (Matt Barr) on a mission of revenge that takes her down to Independence, Texas.

The trio of shows will join “The Flash,” “Superman & Lois,” “Riverdale,” “Kung Fu,” “All American,” “All American: Homecoming,” “Nancy Drew” and “Stargirl” in The CW line-up for later this year and early 2023.
