After nearly three years off the air and filming that took nearly two years to complete due to pandemic complications, Seth MacFarlane’s “The Orville” finally returns with a third and likely final season.
Boasting the new title “The Orville: New Horizons,” Hulu has premiered the first trailer for the new run with each episode expected run several minutes longer than when it was on FOX.
Confirmed returnees include Captain Ed Mercer (MacFarlane), Commander Kelly Grayson (Adrianne Palicki), pilot Lt. Gordon Malloy (Scott Grimes), Isaac (Mark Jackson), Dr. Finn (Penny Johnson Jerald), Lt. Cmdr. Bortus (Peter Macon), Lt. Talla Keyali (Jessica Szohr), Lt. Cmdr. John LaMarr (J. Lee), Klyden (Chad L. Coleman) and Lt. Yaphit (Norm Macdonald) along with Victor Garber reprising his guest role of Admiral Halsey.
There’s also new regular Ensign Charly Burke (Anne Winters) while guest stars this season include Ted Danson, Bruce Boxleitner and Eliza Taylor. MacFarlane and Jon Cassar helmed the new run which kicks off with weekly episodes from June 2nd.
