“Nobody” Scribe To Pen “Streets of Rage”

Following the success of the “Sonic the Hedgehog” films, SEGA is set to turn its iconic arcade beat ’em up game franchise “Streets of Rage” into a feature film.

“John Wick” creator and “Nobody” scribe Derek Kolstad penned the script on spec and based on the 1991 side-scroller which follows former police offers who battle a crime syndicate. Multiple sequels followed up with a fourth official title released in 2020.

“Sonic” films producer dj2 Entertainment and “The Equalizer” films producer Escape Artists will produce the movie.

This marks the second adaptation of a game to involve a “John Wick” alum, the other being those film’s director Chad Stahelski who is helming the film adaptation of “Ghost of Tsushima” for PlayStation Productions.
