Emmy-nominated “Transparent” writers Micah Fitzerman-Blue & Noah Harpster will serve as co-showrunners for the limited series “The United States of America Vs. Vince McMahon” at WWE and Blumhouse TV.

The limited series will delve into WWE during the 1990s when McMahon was repeatedly censured by infamous New York Post writer Phil Mushnick.

Ultimately he was indicted by the U.S. government for allegedly supplying anabolic steroids to WWE talent, stood trial after refusing to take a plea, and was unanimously acquitted by the jury.

McMahon, Kevin Dunn, Jason Blum, Chris McCumber and Jeremy Gold will executive produce.

That’s not all though as NBCUniversal is developing “Pinned,” a drama set in the world of fictional wrestling promotion which also has McMahon listed as an executive producer.

The story is described as an ‘adrenalized’ upstairs-downstairs soap that gives a behind-the-scenes look at a fictional wrestling promotion and the ‘unforgettable’ characters that populate it.

Craig O’Neill (“CSI: Vegas,” “MacGyver”) is writing and executive producing that project with Fox Sports reporter Tom Rinaldi. That project isn’t set up at a network or streamer as yet.
