Obi Wan Kenobi Gets Short Delay

Lucasfilm has announced that the upcoming “Obi-Wan Kenobi” event series will get a short delay – but there’s a silver lining to this cloud.

Originally slated for a launch on Disney+ on Wednesday May 25th, the premiere has now been pushed back two days to Friday May 27th.

As a treat to compensate for the delay though, the streamer will release the first two episodes of the show on that date as opposed to just the first one which was originally planned.

The delay means the launch of the series will go head-to-head with both “Top Gun: Maverick” opening in cinemas that day, along with the first part of the fourth season of “Stranger Things” which launches on Netflix which is launching that Friday.
