Roku has premiered the first look at Daniel Radcliffe as five-time Grammy winner Weird Al Yankovic in the upcoming biopic “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story”.
Yankovic is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time, famed for his parodies of musical contemporaries. The biopic plans to explore every facet of his life from his childhood through his meteoric rise to fame, along with his “torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle”.
Yankovic and Eric Appel penned the feature with Appel directing. Yankovic, Mike Farah, Joe Farrell, Tim Headington, Lia Buman, Max Silva and Whitney Hodack are producing.
Filming began in Los Angeles earlier this month with the film to be available for streaming exclusively on The Roku Channel
