Warner Bros. has delayed the upcoming “Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League” game to 2023 – a full eight years after their last game hit the market.

Developed by “Batman: Arkham Knight” studio Rocksteady Games, the title had hoped to be out sometime this year but a Bloomberg report says according to “people familiar with its development,” it won’t be out for at least another year.

The game was first teased at the DC Fandome event in late 2020 and showed off some gameplay at the same event in late 2021. The new report suggests it’s not as ready as it may have appeared.

The delay follows in the wake of numerous games being delayed from late last year into 2022 as the global pandemic has hit the development sector hard.
