“John Wick: Chapter 4” Pushed To 2023

John Wick Chapter 4 Pushed To 2023
Lionsgate

Lionsgate has announced that the fourth entry in the “John Wick” film franchise has been pushed back ten months.

Originally slated for May 27th 2022, a date it would’ve been tight for it to meet, the film now has a comfortable amount of breathing room for completion as it will open in cinemas on March 24th 2023.

The move gets the new film out of the way of “Top Gun: Maverick” which is slated to open in that May 2022 slot. As part of the news, a video announcement of the new date has been released and can be viewed below.

Chad Stahelski helms the new film which stars Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick, Bill Skarsgard, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, and Ian McShane.

Michael Finch and Shay Hatten wrote the screenplay with Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee producing. The previous entry pulled in a franchise-high of $327 million worldwide.
