Marvel Studios and Disney have announced a January 12th premiere date for “Eternals” on the Disney+ service.
While 45 days is becoming the new standard for most films making the jump from theatrical release to PVOD and SVOD services, Disney’s “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and now “Eternals” have both stuck to a gap of around 70 days (essentially two months plus one week).
Should the studio follow that pattern with next year’s MCU releases, the “Doctor Strange” sequel would hit Disney+ in mid-July, “Thor: Love and Thunder” in mid-September, and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” in mid-late January 2023.
“Eternals” will also be available with an Imax enhanced expanded aspect ratio, like 13 other MCU films on the Disney+ service.
