The Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas-led thriller “Deep Water” has been pulled from the release schedule by distributor 20th Century Studios. The film had been targeting a January 14th 2022 release after previous delays. It’s unclear if the movie will be rescheduled for release on a later date.

Adrian Lyne directs this adaptation of a 1957 novel by “The Talented Mr. Ripley” author Patricia Highsmith about a married couple in a small town whose loveless marriage only continues due to an arrangement in which the wife can take lovers as long as she doesn’t leave her family. When the husband’s jealousy reaches new peaks, however, he methodically kills his wife’s lovers.

Affleck and de Armas, who are actual exes with the split reportedly being amicable, portray the husband and wife alongside a supporting cast including Tracy Letts, Lil Rel Howery, Rachel Blanchard, Finn Wittrock and Jacob Elordi.
