Michelle Monaghan, Jodie Turner-Smith and Meredith Hagner have been cast in the Apple drama series “Bad Monkey”.
The trio joins Vince Vaughn in the series based on Carl Hiaasen’s 2013 novel about Andrew Yancy, a one-time detective demoted to restaurant inspector in Southern Florida.
A severed arm found by a tourist out fishing pulls Yancy into the world of greed, corruption and environmental disaster in both Florida and the Bahamas.
Monaghan plays a mysterious woman trapped in an abusive, loveless marriage and with a secret from her past. Turner-Smith plays Dragon Queen, a feared woman who practices Obeah. Hagner plays the wife of the victim.
Marcos Siega (“Dexter,” “The Flight Attendant”) is on board to direct the first episode and executive produce. Bill Lawrence (“Ted Lasso”) is writing and executive producing.
