Sony, Lionsgate, Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Annapurna, Universal, MGM, and Warner Brothers are all said to be engaged in a massive bidding war for a new thriller feature that will re-team “Ocean’s 11” duo George Clooney and Brad Pitt on screen.
In addition, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” director Jon Watts is attached to write and direct with all three set to produce the film which doesn’t have a title as yet.
All that’s known about the story at this time is that it’s a “tale of two lone wolf fixers assigned to the same job”. Clooney’s Smokehouse Pictures and Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment production companies will produce.
Watts’ next film, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” opens in December.
