Netflix has cancelled its espionage thriller “Hit & Run” after one season. The series, which scored good reviews and solid ratings, had a cliffhanger in the finale that setup the potential for multiple seasons. My Unorthodox Life
Netflix has renewed the unscripted series “My Unorthodox Life” for a second season. The story follows fashion executive Julia Haart who left the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community in which she was raised and became the head of one of the world’s largest modeling and talent management agencies. Three Women
“GLOW” star Betty Gilpin has boarded the straight-to-series Showtime drama “Three Women” based on Lisa Taddeo’s book. Shailene Woodley and Dewanda Wise co-star in the series which will film this Fall.
The story explores American female desire and follows three women on a crash course to radically overturn their lives – one in a passionless marriage, one in a committed open marriage in jeopardy, and one in an inappropriate relationship with her teacher. [Source: THR]
Batwoman
The CW has released the trailer for the upcoming third season of “Batoman” which returns to the network on October 13th. The new clip teases the arrival of some form of The Mad Hatter, a result of the release of supervillain tech into Gotham’s river system in the second season finale.
The Problem With Jon Stewart
Apple TV+ has premiered the first look at “The Problem With Jon Stewart” launching on September 30th, Stewart returning to hosting six years after wrapping his run on “The Daily Show”.
A series companion podcast launches the same day and will expand upon each episode’s conversation and feature staff members from the show and activists in the space of the topic.
