Netflix’s “Blood Red Sky,” a mostly English language and German-made film nicknamed ‘vampires on a plane’ for its high concept premise, has proven a big success.
The streaming title is reportedly Netflix’s most successful German content to date, film or TV, as more than 50 million households around the world are projected to watch it by next week (the streamer’s standard 28-day measure).
The number surpasses the historical series “Barbarians” which previously held the record. The film also reached the top ten in 93 countries.
Of course, Netflix famously measures just a few minutes of sampling, so the question was bound to be asked – did people turn off? Turns out for once Netflix is not being shy about that information – saying that an average of 90% of viewers watched the entire two-hour runtime.
