AMC has given the green light for a series adaptation of Anne Rice’s “Interview With the Vampire”.
AMC acquired the rights to her works last year and have now given the go ahead with an eight-episode order of ‘Interview’, the first book in ‘The Vampire Chronicles’ saga, with plans for a 2022 premiere on AMC and AMC+.
Rolin Jones will serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner on the series. Mark Johnson, Anne Rice and Christopher Rice will executive produce.
The property was previously adapted into a feature in 1994 starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunst and Antonio Banderas.
