“La La Land” director Damien Chazelle’s 1920s movie industry feature “Babylon” for Paramount Pictures is filling out its cast.
Max Minghella, Katherine Waterston, Samara Weaving, Lukas Haas, Flea, Rory Scovel, Eric Roberts, P.J. Byrne and Damon Gupton have all been added to the line-up.
They join the already cast Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, Diego Calva, Jovan Adepo and Li Jun Li in the film which kicks off production later this month in Los Angeles ahead of a Christmas 2022 release.
Chazelle penned and directs the film which deals with the industry’s transition from silent films to talkies and explores the rise and fall of multiple characters. Some will be fictional others real with Minghella tipped to play Irving Thalberg.
Olivia Hamilton, Matt Plouffe and Marc Platt are producing.
