After trying some slightly more serious fare with “Let Go” and “The Upside,” Kevin Hart embraces his dramatic side for Netflix’s “Fatherhood” based on Matt Logelin’s 2011 memoir “Two Kisses For Maddy”.
The book follows Logelin’s journey of raising his daughter Maddy after Liz, his wife, and high school sweetheart, suddenly dies just one day after giving birth.
Alfre Woodard, Melody Hurd, Anthony Carrigan, Lil Rel Howery, Paul Reiser, DeWanda Wise, Deborah Ayorinde, and Teneisha Collins co-star.
Paul Weitz (“American Pie”) directs the film which he co-wrote the screenplay with Dana Stevens (“Safe Haven”). The streamer premieres the film on June 18th.
