The reviews are in for “Resident Evil: Village,” the eighth main chapter game in Capcom’s long-running franchise and one of the most anticipated major video games of the year.

The PS5 version of the title is the most reviewed and has snagged an 84/100 on Metacritic from 64 reviews counted. That’s a score amongst the best entries of the franchise, though behind the seventh entry (which serves as something of a reboot) and behind the top title – the “Resident Evil 2” remake.

“Resident Evil Village” will be released this Friday May 7th across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S and Stadia.
