MGM has released new two photos from Liesl Tommy’s upcoming Aretha Franklin biopic “Respect” starring Jennifer Hudson as the Queen of Soul. Now set to open August 13th, the film follows the rise of Aretha’s career from a child singing in her father’s church’s choir to her international superstardom. [Source: Twitter]
A Quiet Place
Paramount Pictures has released a brief teaser promising a new ‘final trailer’ is coming tomorrow for the long-delayed “A Quiet Place Part II” which is finally coming to cinemas on May 28th.
Using the quite good tagline: “Its been quiet for far too long,” the John Krasinski-directed follow-up sees the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) facing the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence.
Stranger Things
The “Stranger Things” YouTube channel has released a brief video titled ‘HNL Control Room’ teasing something happening at 9am U.S.-ET tomorrow. With the fourth season not expected until 2022, it’s likely too early for a trailer but an announcement of some sort is possible.
Featurettes
A couple of featurettes worth a look today including one about the high stakes of Taylor Sheridan’s wilderness kidnap drama “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” one about how the unique animation style of Netflix’s “The Mitchells vs. The Machines” was achieved, and one exploring actress Emma Stone’s transformation into the titular villain of Disney’s “Cruella”.
