Equalizer Renewed For Second Season
CBS

CBS has renewed the Queen Latifah-led reboot of its iconic 1980s “The Equalizer” TV series for a second season to air later this year through 2022.

The pickup comes after just four episodes of the show’s first season have aired, the series launching post-Super Bowl and has maintained solid ratings since.

Through four episodes, “The Equalizer” is the most-watched show (excluding sports) on network TV this season with 14.6 million viewers per episode and averaging a 2.8 rating among adults 18-49.

Queen Latifah stars in the series as Robyn McCall, a former CIA operative who now uses her skills to help people with nowhere else to turn. The cast also includes Chris Noth, Lorraine Toussaint, Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg, Liza Lapira and Laya DeLeon Hayes.
