Paramount Gets Aid From New Republic

Following their work together on “Rocketman,” Paramount Pictures is set to receive financial aid from New Republic Pictures on ten films including “Mission: Impossible 7” and “Top Gun: Maverick”

New Republic’s Bradley Fischer says: “we are thrilled to be partnering with Paramount on a number of their upcoming projects. The studio has been producing an enviable slate of commercially exciting, quality films, leveraging their storied library, talent relationships and creative instincts to cultivate existing franchises while launching new ones.”

Other films included in the deal are much of Paramount’s slate for the next year or two including Eddie Murphy comedy sequel “Coming 2 America,” the Tom Clancy adaptation “Without Remorse,” the Chris Pratt-led “The Tomorrow War,” Antoine Fuqua’s past life thriller “Infinite,” the Lorene Scafaria-penned crab fishing drama “Under the Boardwalk,” and film adaptations of “The Tiger’s Apprentice” and “Clifford the Big Red Dog”.

New Republic also backed “1917” last year and recently signed first-look deals with Jake Gyllenhaal and Cate Blanchett.
