“The Batman” filmmaker Matt Reeves has offered a first look at both the film’s official logo and some additional DC FanDome artwork by artist Jim Lee.
The designs come ahead of the virtual event beginning this Saturday where the first footage from the film will hopefully be shown. The Batman is reportedly set to explore the Dark Knight’s younger years, but won’t be an origin story.
The film stars Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as D.A. Gil Colson, and Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Real.
The movie was seven weeks into production before the coronavirus pandemic shut it down. It’s expected to resume filming in September. It opens in cinemas on October 1st.
