The Third Day
HBO has announced that it has pushed its six-part limited series “The Third Day” from its original May 11th berth to a release date sometime this Fall. The delay is said to be due to the post-production being affected by the production shutdown. Jude Law and Naomie Harris star.

The mini-series comes in two parts. The first sees one man visits a mysterious island off the British coast and discovers a group of inhabitants intent on preserving their home at any cost. The second sees a strong-willed outsider comes to the island seeking answers — but instead causes a battle to decide its fate. [Source: HBO]

Gossip Girl
Newcomer Savannah Smith has scored a lead role in HBO Max’s upcoming “Gossip Girl” reboot. This is Smith’s first role, the actress is currently studying acting at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and will play a ‘cool girl’ at school in the new entry. A production start on the ten-episode revival has been delayed by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. [Source: Deadline]

The Conners
The four principal cast members of “Roseanne” spin-off “The Conners” have closed new deals to return for a nineteen-episode third season of ABC’s multi-camera comedy. Sara Gilbert, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf and Lecy Goranson are all coming back. Werner Entertainment is in talks to close a license-fee deal with ABC, paving the way for another season. Hollywood
The first photos have been released from producer Ryan Murphy’s new limited series “Hollywood”. The revisionist homage to the Golden Age of Hollywood follows a group of actors as they mingle with both real and fictional movie stars in post-World War II Hollywood including Vivien Leigh, Joan Crawford, Rock Hudson, Hattie McDaniel, Anna May Wong. The series stars the likes of Darren Criss, Samara Weaving, Dylan McDermott, Patti LuPone, Holland Taylor, Maude Apatow, Jeremy Pope and David Corenswet.
