Amid growing concerns over the coronavirus, FX has announced that the premiere of the fourth installment of its “Fargo” TV series from creator Noah Hawley will be delayed indefinitely.
The show’s first two episodes were slated to bow April 19th with eight further episodes coming weekly after that. The 1950s Kansas City-set season stars Chris Rock as the head of a major crime family.
On Thursday, FX announced it would be stopping production on the series which had completed filming eight of its ten episodes. Deciding not to risk rolling out an unfinished series, this delay is in place.
The delay also means the series will likely miss out on contention for this year’s Emmy awards which mandate a series has to air at least three or four episodes by May 31st.
