Zemeckis Rumored To Helm “The Flash” Film

“Back to the Future,” “Contact” and “Romancing the Stone” director Robert Zemeckis is reportedly in talks to helm “The Flash” movie at Warner Bros. Pictures says Screen Junkies.

Zemeckis would mark the third helmer on the film following original director Seth Grahame-Smith exiting and then “Dope” helmer Rick Famuyiwa joining and quickly departing.

Zemeckis certainly brings with him experience, and an auteur willing to be experimental with visuals. The project recently hired a new writer to rework the script, so a potential production schedule has yet to be locked down.

In fact reporter Umberto Gonzalez has added to the report, saying that while Zemeckis has indeed spoken with WB about the film – he’s far from a sure thing. Ezra Miller will reprise his role of The Flash” in “Justice League” later this year.
