Vin Diesel has reportedly overtaken his “Fast and Furious” co-star Dwayne Johnson to be crowned the highest-grossing actor at the box office in 2017 reports Forbes.
Thanks to “The Fate of the Furious” and “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage,” Diesel films earned $1.6 billion at the box-office this year (and that’s not including his voice role as Baby Groot in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”).
Johnson came in second with $1.5 billion, while “Wonder Woman” actress was third with $1.4 billion. Also on the list were Emma Watson with $1.3 billion, Johnny Depp with $1.1 billion, Daisy Ridley with $1.08 billion, Tom Holland with $888 million, Chris Pratt with $864 million, Chris Hemsworth with $845 million and John Boyega with $815 million.
The list only takes into account leading roles, not supporting actors which is why someone like Luke Evans who was in both a supporting role in “Beauty and the Beast” and a cameo in “The Fate of the Furious” isn’t sitting on top of the list.
