Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released a trailer for “Critters Attack!,” a new sequel film which brings back actress Dee Wallace for this new entry in the campy horror sci-fi series.
The new film continues the comedy tone but also brings back some of the darker, gorier elements of the early films in the series. Wallace appeared in the original 1986 film but here plays a different character named Aunt Dee.
The story follows 20-year-old Drea (Tashiana Washington), who reluctantly takes a job babysitting a professor’s children. Drea takes them and her own young brother on a hike, unaware that mysterious alien critters have crash-landed and started devouring every living thing they encounter.
The group encounter a female critter named Bianca, an exiled royal fleeing her race – but is she as innocent as she seems? The film is not to be confused with “Critters: A New Binge,” the recently debuted TV series take on streaming service Shudder which was more a fan-made thing.
“Critters Attack!” will arrive on home video on July 23rd 2019 and will later debut on Syfy in October.
