The CW has announced that its long-running post-apocalyptic survival sci-fi drama series “The 100” will come to an end with the seventh season next year.
The announcement, coming just days ahead of the sixth season finale, was made by series creator Jason Rothenberg who says: “We are eternally grateful to WB & CW for always allowing us to tell our story the way we want to & to wrap the show on our terms. What an incredible ride this has been.”
The show’s seventh season renewal was announced back in April and was previously speculated as being the end. It will mark the third legacy series the network is closing off next year, the others being “Supernatural” with its fifteenth season and “Arrow” with its eighth.
