Ryan Gosling Plans A Second Directorial Effort

Following a disappointing debut with 2014’s “Lost River,” actor Ryan Gosling is taking another shot at directing with Cinema Teaser reporting that the actor is already at work on his next project.

Celebrated cinematographer Benoit Debie (“Irreversible,” “Spring Breakers,” “Enter the Void”) worked with Gosling on “Lost River” and tells the magazine:

“I have a new project with Ryan Gosling. Its financing isn’t complete and Ryan told me that Netflix offered to produce it, on the condition that he would shoot it digital. And necessarily not releasing it in theaters or barely. I told him I found it was a pity and he agreed.”

No further details are available about the project. Debie also shot down reports that he’s involved in the upcoming third “Bad Boys” film, saying: “I saw that [the rumor] was all over the internet but nobody —whether it’s the production or the directors—has contacted me.”
