Willow
“Solo” writer Jon Kasdan has confirmed that the writing process on the proposed “Willow” sequel TV series is under way with Kasdan captioning an image saying “The office is open”. Ron Howard teased the series last year by revealing discussions were taking place to bring the project to Disney+. Warwick Davis is expected to star in the new Willow series to reprise the role of the titular character. [Source; Twitter]

The Duplass Brothers
Brothers Mark and Jay Duplass have closed a four-year first-look deal at HBO, extending the relationship between their company and the cabler following their work together on “Room 104,” “Animals” and “Togetherness”. The Duplass’ company also produced Netflix’s acclaimed “Wild Wild Country”. [Source: Variety]

Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet
Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for executive producers Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day’s half-hour-long nine-episode comedy series “Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet”. McElhenney plays the creative director on a video game who tries to take all the credit from the team under him. F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim and Charlotte Nicdao co-star in the nine episodes which will be available for streaming on Friday, February 7th.

Ugly Betty
Silvio Horta, creator of ABC’s popular series “Ugly Betty,” was reportedly found dead in a Miami motel room on Tuesday in an apparent suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 45. Horta served as showrunner and head writer on the comedy-drama which ran from 2006-2010. More recently he had a project with Mary J. Blige in development at Fox in 2018. [Source: Variety]

IDW Publishing has released a new tease for “Locke & Key,” the few seconds of footage coming ahead of the first trailer release tomorrow for Netflix’s highly anticipated series adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s comic book series which itself premieres February 7th.
