After various directors have come and gone from the project, “IT” helmer Andy Muschietti still remains attached to the Ezra Miller-led DC Comics film adaptation of “The Flash” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The Hashtag Show reports that Muschietti was recently out moderating a Q&A panel for the Kristen Stewart-led thriller “Underwater” when he confirmed that he’ll not only officially start working on “The Flash” later this year, but the film will indeed be an adaptation of the “Flashpoint” storyline.
He does, however, warn that it will be a “different version of Flashpoint than you’re expecting”. An adaptation of “Flashpoint” was first rumored three years ago when the project even changed its title to “Flashpoint,” but that’s no longer the case as the film is now targeting a July 2022 release.
After that, he reportedly confirmed he will tackle a new adaptation of the werewolf film classic “The Howling” after previously expressing a desire to do so.
