Marvel Scraps “Howard the Duck” & “Dazzler”

Hulu Announces Four Marvel Cartoon Series

Marvel is clearing house over at the newly renamed Marvel TV Studios and have scrapped the planned animated comedies “Howard the Duck” and “Tigra & Dazzler” which had been in the works for Hulu.

Both shows were announced alongside “MODOK,” “Hit Monkey” and the team-up project “The Offenders” nearly a year ago as being in the works for the Disney-owned streamer. “MODOK” and “Hit Monkey” will continue as planned and “Offenders” is most likely dead.

The news comes nearly two months after work on “Tigra & Dazzler” was paused amid creative differences with Marvel, and in December the entire writing staff was let go from the series after completing multiple scripts.

Last week, Hulu senior vp scripted originals Craig Erwich confirmed he’d seen episodes of both the currently in production “MODOK” and the live-action “Helstrom” and says premiere dates for those will be announced soon.
