HBO’s “The Outsider” A Big Ratings Success

HBO’s TV series adaptation of Stephen King’s novel “The Outsider” is proving a big hit for the premium cabler.

Despite going up against the Grammys, Sunday night’s fourth episode reached nearly 1.5 million viewers across all platforms – marking a significant growth week to week.

That most recent episode is an 11% increase from last week and a 22% jump from the double-episode series debut. Total viewing for the first episode is now 6.7 million viewers and continues to grow.

In terms of Live+Same Day viewership, the series is surpassing “Watchmen” at the same point in its cycle.

Cynthia Erivo stars in the series as an unconventional investigator with uncanny abilities who helps out Ben Mendelsohn’s detective in a murder case in which Jason Bateman’s character is the main suspect.
