“The Matrix” and “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” star Laurence Fishburne is set to executive produce the animated series “Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” for Disney Channel.
Based on the Marvel comic book series, the series hails from Disney Television Animation and follows the adventures of thirteen-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette and her ten-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur.
After Lunella accidentally brings Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City via a time vortex, the duo works together to protect the city’s Lower East Side from danger. Fishburne announced the series at D23 on Saturday.
Fishburne has been in the news this week after word broke on Monday that a fourth “Matrix” is on the way but he will likely not be reprising the role of Morpheus – instead there’s murmurs of them recasting for a younger take.
“Kim Possible” producer Steve Loter serves as an executive producer on the project, while Jeff Howard and Kate Kondell serve as co-producers and story editors.
