Farrell Teases “Batman” Script & Explains Hair

Farrell Teases Batman Script Explains Hair

Colin Farrell has cleared up the talk about “The Batman” and his appearance in Matt Reeves film. Specifically his hair.

Farrell is set to play The Penguin in the movie and was seen recently sporting a short hairdo of bright silver that was widely assumed to be him prepping for the role. That followed on from set photos the other week of a very Farrell-esque man snapped on set with both the silver hair and an umbrella.

Turns out, his hair color was a home hair dye accident he was doing as a marker that he’d finished another film project. Speaking on Ellen, sporting black hair, Farrell says: “That [the silver] was color five. It went purple. Then it went piss yellow. Then it went whatever the hell that is. Foxy silver grey. And then I had somebody come by the house and fix it.”

Separately, he also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and revealed that while they’re two weeks out from filming his first scenes, they are still locking down the character’s final look:

“I’m in the process of talking to Matt Reeves, who’s the director, who wrote the script, and wrote a really…really beautiful, dark, moving script, really gorgeous… it’s all very hush-hush, but it’s a really beautiful script that he wrote and he has a real love for it, Matt. So, we’re still in the process of finishing designing the aesthetic of the character.”

Farrell stars in the film alongside Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Paul Dano and Zoe Kravitz. Shooting is currently taking place in London.
