First “Spider-Noir” Poster Appears At CCXP

Amazon

Brazil’s Comic-Con style event, CCXP, gets underway tomorrow with multiple trailers and first looks at upcoming works expected to debut in the next few days.

One of the first has already arrived with Omelete posting a photo of poster art for the new Amazon series “Spider-Noir” starring Nicolas Cage. The poster confirms the character’s name is Ben Reilly and not a Peter Parker variant.

The series tells the story of an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.

Cage reprises the role of a character he voiced in animation form in 2018’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”. Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot serve as the series co-showrunners.

Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, and Lukas Haas also star along with the likes of Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, Karen Rodriguez, Cameron Britton, Abraham Popoola, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, and Andrew Robinson co-star.

Harry Bradbeer directs the first two episodes and executive produces alongside “Spider-Verse” regulars Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal.

The show will arrive on Amazon Prime Video sometime next year.
