Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema have premiered the teaser trailer and twelve character posters for the upcoming fantasy action epic “Mortal Kombat II”.
This sequel to the 2021 film adaptation of the iconic video game franchise sees the fan favorite champions – now joined by Johnny Cage himself – pitted against one another in the ultimate, no-holds barred, gory battle.
In the process, they must defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn that threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders. Expect many fights, multiple deaths and creative fatalities.
The cast includes Urban as Cage, Josh Lawson as Kano, Max Huang as Kung Lao, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Joe Taslim as Noob Saibot and Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion.
New to the film are Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Ana Thu Nguyen as Queen Sindel, Damon Herriman as Quan Chi, CJ Bloomfield as Baraka and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana.
“Mortal Kombat II” is slated to open in cinemas on October 24th 2025.
