Netflix has renewed its David E. Kelley-produced legal drama “The Lincoln Lawyer” for a ten-episode third season.
In addition, it has been revealed the new season will be based on the fifth book in Michael Connelly’s novel series – this one titled “The Gods of Guilt”.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will return as Mickey Haller alongside Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco) and Yaya DaCosta (Andrea Freemann) who are all also confirmed to be returning.
Neve Campbell, however, will not be back as a series regular. In an official statement, co-showrunners and executive producers Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez say:
“The audience response to the show has been so gratifying and wonderful. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into Michael Connelly’s universe and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again.”
In the “Gods of Guilt” book, Mickey learns a recent murder victim was his own former client – a prostitute he thought he had ‘rescued’, only to find she was back in the life and he may have been the one who put her in danger.
