Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first TV series, the action comedy “FUBAR,” has been renewed for a second season at Netflix.
The order was announced at the streamer’s global Tudum event in Brazil on Saturday. The eight-episode series launched on May 25th to very mixed reviews but has been sitting high on the charts since its launch and obviously has done well enough for the streamer to issue a renewal.
Hailing from “Reacher” and “Scorpion” creator Nick Santora, the series follows a CIA operative (Schwarzenegger) on the verge of retirement when he discovers a family secret.
It turns out his entire relationship with his daughter was built on a lie as she is a CIA operative as well. The two soon join forces when he’s forced to go back into the field for one last job.
The cast includes Monica Barbaro, Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Milan Carter, Travis Van Winkle, Gabriel Luna, Andy Buckley, Aparna Brielle, Barbara Eve Harris and Fabiana Udenio.
Schwarzenegger also serves as executive producer alongside creator and showrunner Santora as well as Adam Higgs, Scott Sullivan, Holly Dale, Bill Bost, David Ellison and Dana Goldberg for Skydance Television.
