“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” Delayed A Month

EA

Respawn Entertainment have announced that their highly anticipated “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” video game, a sequel to 2019’s “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,” has been delayed just over a month.

Picking up five years later, the third person, narrative-driven action-adventure sees Cal Kestis come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight.

Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous.

The Dark Times are closing in – with enemies new and familiar surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him.

The EA “Star Wars” Twitter account tweeted out an explanation, saying Respawn was in the final stage of development and working on bug fixes, stabilising the game and a final polish.

To meet fan expectations and what they dub “the Respawn quality bar,” the team is pushing the title by six ‘crucial’ weeks. Part of this may be a reaction to ‘Fallen Order’ which scored criticism for bugs, some of which blocked progression.

They were repaired fairly quickly with Respawn Entertainment head Vince Zampella getting quite honest about the issues saying the studio pushed the game out a little early in order to meet its November release date.

The game has since been very well received and had garnered over 20 million players by June 2021. ‘Fallen Order’ is also a part of January 2023’s PlayStation Plus Essential lineup.

“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” is now coming out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 28th – sharing the release date with “Dead Island 2” which also landed there because of a delay.
