Former “Community” cast member Keith David, who joined the series in its sixth and final season, says he’s up to return for creator Dan Harmon’s movie revival on Peacock.
Earlier this year, Sony Pictures TV greenlit a “Community” movie with Harmon co-writing the script. Almost all the major cast are onboard, and now TV Line has revealed they asked the actor if he would be returning to his role of Elroy Patashnik.
David says: “As far as I know when it happens, I’ll be there. I liked Elroy because he was smart but reclusive, and there are a lot of those kinds of people in the world whose names you don’t necessarily know but whose work has made a difference in every one of our lives. That’s what I like about him.”
Peacock has no official release date for the film that supposedly arrives sometime in 2023. Andrew Guest is co-writing the script, while Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong are all set to reprise their roles, with Donald Glover also expected to return.
