FX is reportedly developing a TV series based on Searchlight’s 2010 feature “Never Let Me Go” and the original 2005 Kazuo Ishiguro novel of the same name.
Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield starred in the film as childhood friends at an English boarding school who learn that they are clones created to serve as organ donors in a ‘breakthrough’ medical plan to help extend the human lifespan.
Together, the three navigate love, friendships and art while preparing for their inevitable deaths. Mark Romanek directed and Alex Garland scripted that feature.
Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich, who produced the film, will executive produce the series whilst Melissa Iqbal is set as a writer and executive producer. DNA Films & TV, FX productions and Searchlight Television will all produce.
