WarnerMedia Kids & Family has announced ACME Night, a new programming block that aims to bring family-friendly content to screens every Sunday night.
Kicking off with “Shazam” on September 19th on Cartoon Network, subsequent Sundays will see the airing of family-friendly blockbusters like “Man of Steel,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Sherlock Gnomes,” “Scoob!” and “Detective Pikachu”.
Previously-announced projects like the Harry Potter Wizarding World competition event series and the anticipated “Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai” prequel series will also be incorporated.
So will an in-the-works slate of original animated specials from Warner Bros. Animation including “Merry Little Batman,” “Did I Do That to the Holidays? A Steve Urkel Story” and an untitled Looney Tunes Cartoons film.
“Merry Little Batman” follows six-year-old Damian Wayne who dresses up as ‘little Batman’ in order to stop super-villains from destroying Christmas. Mike Roth directs that.
