Eliza Hittman’s acclaimed abortion drama “Never Rarely Sometimes Always,” which hit cinemas two weeks ago in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, is getting an early video-on-demand release – making the jump to digital next week, just three weeks after it hit cinemas. The CW is shifting around its schedule and has put all its superhero series on hold with “Batwoman” and “Supergirl” ditching planned airings of episodes for at least the next two weeks while others like “The Flash” are alternating airing new and repeat episodes to allow time for postproduction to be completed. Impractical Jokers
TruTV winter feature sleeper “Impractical Jokers: The Movie” is set to be available on Wednesday, April 1st – just five weeks after its theatrical release opened and was cut short due to the national shutdown of cinemas – but still managed to make $10.7 million stateside. Neon has picked up Brandon Cronenberg’s “Possessor” which scored rave reviews at Sundance earlier this year. Andrea Riseborough stars as a corporate agent who works for a “secretive organization using brain-implant technology to inhabit other people’s bodies and commit assassinations for high-paying clients. Future Man
Hulu has premiered the full trailer for the third and final season of its time-traveling comedy “Future Man” as the trio of heroes set out on a final mission to save a broken timeline. The eight episode last run kicks off April 3rd.
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg executive produce the series about a janitor by day/world-ranked gamer by night who travels through time to prevent the extinction of humanity. Josh Hutcherson, Eliza Coupe, Derek Wilson and Haley Joel Osment star.
