WonderCon Delayed, NBC & CBS Upfronts Cut

WonderCon, scheduled to take place April 10th-12th in Anaheim, has been postponed until a later date.

Comic-Con, which organises the event, has issued a statement on their official site and are abiding by the California Department of Public Health’s recommendations to limit gatherings and events of more than 250 people in an effort to slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19.

WonderCon will begin processing refunds in the coming days and will continue to work closely with officials in San Diego in regards to Comic-Con. At this time no decision has been made regarding the rescheduling of the July event.

Meanwhile both NBC and CBS have pulled the plug on their annual live upfronts presentations at Carnegie Hall in May which showcase their upcoming fall schedules to advertisers and media. Both networks will replace their presentations with video upfront specials that will be posted to digital platforms.

It’s expected both FOX and ABC, not to mention others like HBO Max, will make the same judgement call int he next few days.
