Emily Hampshire (“Schitt’s Creek”) will join Adrien Brody in the Epix series “Chapelwaite,” based on the novella “Jerusalem’s Lot” by Stephen King.
Set in the 1850s, Brody plays Captain Charles Boone who relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife dies at sea. However, Charles will soon have to confront the secrets of his family’s sordid history, and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations.
Hampshire will play Rebecca Morgan, an ambitious young woman who left Preacher’s Corners to attend college and has returned home with an advance to write a story for Atlantic Magazine. She applies to be governess for the Boone family in order to write about them.
Filming begins in May ahead of a Fall debut. Donald De Line executive producers while Jason Filardi and Peter Filardi will serve as showrunners. Hampshire will also be seen in Sam Raimi’s upcoming Quibi series “50 States of Fright”.
